Thirty years of experience and professional performance is what the Forgestar brand brings to the table with its latest innovation in wheel technology: the world’s first one-piece light-weight rotary forged flow form customized wheel variety which bridges the long lived gap between cast and forged wheels. This new production is an engineering process which turns the rim section over three hydraulic rollers and a specialized mandrel with enormous pressure. The rim then forms against the mandrel hereby causing the resultant shape and diameter of the rim. The term “flow forming” emanates from the downward flow of the rim in order to craft the width of the rim. The properties of this new rim are completely changed by the pressure and manufacturing processes, giving rise to increased strength similar to a forged version. It also comes with %15 less weight in comparison to a cast wheel. This new technology casts a shadow of dominance over the former with a more intensified dent resistance which is made possible without making the wheel thicker or heavier than usual. The rotary-forged flow-forming technique devised by Forgestar is an absolute customer’s choice. It offers a variety of offsets for width of wheels with apt compatibility with tires.
RACE WHEEL DESIGNS
The professional designs and the aggressiveness of Forgestar Wheels have earned the brand “wheel of choice” and favorite of racers around the world in both professional and amateur sports car racing series. Forgestar wheels meet standards and specifications for safety having undergone testing through Finite Element Analysis (FEA). This model aids in the analysis of strength and performance of finished products through simulations to confirm and optimize rigidness, fatigue, strength and load capacity during rotation.
Wheels are tested beyond the SAE JWL VIA standards to further confirm its abilities before it is shipped out for distribution.
Forgestar series include the CF5, CF5V, CF10, F10D, F14, M7S and M14. These are a few tested and trusted series which have made their mark in the automobile industry.
